Credit capacity is distinct from equity financing

Ibis announced its public launch on October 28, 2026, alongside a $250 million credit facility with FalconX. The company wants to build institutional credit infrastructure for emerging sectors, starting with digital asset trading firms. The amount describes announced credit capacity. It should not be presented as $250 million raised in equity, or as a sum already fully lent to borrowers identified in the announcement.

The company separately announces the closing of a pre-seed round involving FalconX, Anchorage Digital and Innovating Capital, alongside industry executives and investors. The announcement does not disclose that equity round's size. It also mentions individuals from firms including Erebor, Revolut, Agora, Selini and Pyth. This list of supporters accompanies the company's launch. It does not establish that each named firm provides credit, guarantees loans or commits the facility's entire amount.

Origination, collateral and financing oversight

Ibis describes activities covering origination, structuring, tokenization, risk analysis and servicing of credit facilities. The objective is to connect institutional capital providers with businesses whose needs or collateral do not readily fit traditional channels. The company advocates an assessment process adapted to those activities. This is an announced commercial proposition and financing approach, rather than proof that every borrower in these markets is creditworthy or that moving onto a blockchain removes its risks.

Anchorage Digital Bank is to act as a custody, banking and design partner. The partners' presentation places collateral in custody at that bank. Innovating Capital contributes credit, structuring and strategic development expertise. Those roles are different: holding an asset pledged as collateral does not automatically guarantee a loan's value. The announcement does not detail every contractual condition, liquidity criterion or protection applicable to each future transaction.

Crypto markets as the initial focus

The announced starting point covers businesses in crypto capital markets and prediction markets. Ibis says it subsequently wants to extend its infrastructure into other emerging activities, including graphics processors, robotics and venture capital. That expansion is a plan, with no detailed rollout schedule in the announcement. The first borrowers being targeted, the available financing capacity and sectors the company might serve later must therefore be distinguished.

The launch illustrates efforts to connect institutional credit with blockchain-based activities. The next assessment will depend on financing actually completed, collateral deployed and risk oversight throughout the loans' lives. Tokenization can change their representation and distribution; it does not replace an economic assessment of the debtor. At this stage, the verifiable information is the announcement of the FalconX facility, the pre-seed round and partners' roles. No performance history for the new loans is provided.
