A rebound recorded during the Asian session

Bitcoin approached $81,000 during the Asian morning on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. In its report published at 04:15 UTC, CoinDesk described a gain of nearly 2%, after a move close to $79,000 over the weekend. Those levels belong to a dated market update and are not a real-time price. The move came before the end of the U.S. Federal Reserve’s meeting.

Other major cryptocurrencies also advanced in that report. Zcash gained about 8%, to around $1,320; ether rose 2%, to above $2,350, and Solana approximately 2%, to near $102. These changes do not describe an identical rise across all assets. They show that a positive bitcoin session can also coincide with larger moves in certain tokens, without establishing a mechanical relationship between their performances.

The monetary policy meeting ends October 28

The Fed’s official calendar confirms a monetary policy committee meeting on October 27 and October 28. The committee reviews economic and financial conditions, determines the appropriate stance of monetary policy and assesses risks to its objectives. The meeting’s presence on the calendar does not reveal its decision. At the time of this morning update, an expectation that rates would be held or changed must therefore remain presented as an expectation.

The Fed explains that its operations influence credit conditions and, through transmission, short-term interest rates, exchange rates and long-term interest rates. That chain helps explain the attention financial markets pay to the central bank. It does not, however, provide a formula for calculating bitcoin’s next price. The reaction also depends on what was already expected and how the statement accompanying the decision is interpreted.

Prices must be distinguished from market scenarios

CoinDesk also reported Galaxy’s analysis that bitcoin had entered an accumulation phase after a low in June. This is the company’s interpretation, rather than a change in market regime demonstrated in advance. A technical indicator, a historical comparison or a target discussed by an analyst does not turn that hypothesis into an established outcome. Nor is the morning rebound enough to confirm how long a trend will last.

The decisive information for following this session remains the decision actually published, the Fed’s explanations and prices observed after their release. A price recorded before the announcement must not be presented as a reaction to a decision that is still unknown. This update therefore preserves the timing of the quotes and separates facts from scenarios: bitcoin rebounded before the meeting ended, while its resulting monetary policy stance remains to be established from official documents.
