Curve deploys StableSwap on Stellar in its first native integration outside EVM networks

The October 29 announcement opens pool creation, swaps, and liquidity provision on Stellar. FXSwap is planned after its audit is completed and should not be presented as already available.

StableSwap reaches Stellar mainnet

Curve Finance announced StableSwap's launch on Stellar mainnet on October 29, 2026. This is its first native integration outside the Ethereum Virtual Machine, or EVM, ecosystem. The deployment was built for Stellar's smart-contract environment with foundation support. That wording distinguishes an implementation on the network from a token representing a Curve product elsewhere or a link to an application still operated on another blockchain.

The initial release allows permissionless pool creation, discovery of existing pools, swaps, and liquidity provision. StableSwap is designed for stablecoins pegged to one currency or assets with closely related prices. The release says the implementation was audited. An audit checks code within a defined scope; it does not guarantee absence of market risk, asset failure, or future difficulties under all usage conditions.

Pools are meant to make assets easier to exchange

A blockchain can host stablecoins and tokenized funds without automatically having liquid markets between them. Pools provide a mechanism where users deposit assets so others can swap. The result depends on amounts deposited, pool balance, and the tokens' characteristics. Curve's announcement therefore opens trading infrastructure; it does not establish a specific level of liquidity already available for every Stellar asset.

The release also discusses position exits and collateral liquidations for other financial applications. These are integration possibilities as markets and liquidity develop. A lending protocol still needs to select accepted assets, parameters, and liquidation routes. A pool's presence does not automatically make every token eligible collateral. It can provide a venue whose depth and operation must then be assessed in the lending context.

FXSwap still awaits completion of its audit

Curve plans to add FXSwap after its audit is completed. The second mechanism targets assets with more variable relative prices, including stablecoins pegged to different currencies. It concentrates liquidity around market prices to serve those swaps. The release provides no firm availability date. Presenting both functions as simultaneously launched would therefore be inaccurate: StableSwap is announced as open, while FXSwap remains a future stage conditional on the planned review.

Curve's arrival expands tools for Stellar developers and asset issuers. Its value will be measured through pools actually created, liquidity supplied, and connected applications. A first non-EVM integration does not mean every historical Curve function has already been identically reproduced on the network. The launch brings a specific set of exchange and deposit functions with a dedicated interface while keeping available features clearly separated from those still to be delivered.
