A $4 million corporate financing round

Birch Hill Holdings announced a $4 million seed round led by Multicoin Capital on October 28, 2026. ParaFi Capital, Castle Island Ventures and Nascent also participated. According to the New York company's release distributed by Business Wire, its total financing now reaches $6.5 million. Those amounts fund the company: they describe neither loans already distributed on a blockchain nor assets that customers have entrusted to its products.

The company plans to use the proceeds to develop a regulated route to credit and structured products on public blockchains. It presents itself as assessing, structuring and distributing credit, rather than merely supplying an interface. The promise of lower costs and friction nevertheless belongs to its commercial strategy. The release provides no independent performance comparison, guaranteed return or proof that all traditional credit risks disappear through digital representation.

Three businesses at different stages of development

The first division, Vaults, acts as a curator on lending protocol Morpho. Birch Hill assesses credit and sets risk parameters for its vaults and markets. The second, Strategies, develops products through its Flagship Vaults and Birch Hill Absolute Value. These activities require distinguishing asset selection, exposure limits and how a strategy is managed. A blockchain vault is not, solely because of its technical form, a bank account or a risk-free loan.

The third division, Enterprise, has applied for FINRA membership to operate as a broker-dealer. Once approved, the company plans to place private credit offerings with verified accredited investors. That condition is decisive: submitting an application does not mean membership has been granted. The meeting mentioned with the SEC's Crypto Task Force in August is a dialogue initiative, not evidence of general approval of the model, future securities or their marketing terms.

US loans and a reinforced team

Eventually, Birch Hill wants to securitize pools of US loans, starting with multifamily housing, agriculture and energy. These are plans described in the future tense, rather than three fully deployed markets at the date of the financing. The round also supports an eight-person team, including hires from Yearn and Gauntlet. The announced functions include portfolio management, strategy architecture, engineering, capital formation and business development.

The release lists uncertainties including approvals, borrower defaults, credit conditions and risks involving stablecoins, smart contracts and custody. That list is a reminder that credit quality and investor rights remain central. The new information is therefore a financing round supporting a specifically described organization and plans. The next verifiable steps will be regulatory decisions and products actually opened with their documentation, rather than equating the announced financing with an already accomplished success for tokenized credit.
