TeraWulf raises its revolving credit facility to about $400 million
The group has increased the commitments of its credit facility and relaxed the use of letters of credit. This financing capacity does not correspond to $400 million already borrowed or drawn.

An expanded financing capacity
TeraWulf modified on October 23 its revolving credit facility, whose commitments increase from $250 million to approximately $400 million, reports Crypto Briefing. Morgan Stanley Senior Funding serves as administrative agent and collateral agent. The increase pertains to the capacity provided by the agreement. It does not mean that the company has immediately received or spent the entire ceiling, nor that Morgan Stanley provides all the available capital in the facility alone.
A revolving line allows a company to draw funds, repay them, and then use them again within the limits and conditions of the contract. It provides flexibility in the face of varying cash needs. The amount committed, the amount actually drawn, and the balance still available are therefore different pieces of information. To assess the real indebtedness, the announced ceiling must be compared with the uses, guarantees, and applicable financial conditions at the time considered.
More flexible letters of credit
The amendment also removes an old sub-ceiling of $150 million dedicated to letters of credit. These instruments are used in particular to guarantee commitments towards third parties. Their operation is not identical to a payment of freely usable liquid funds: a bank commits to pay under the conditions defined by the document. The modification offers greater latitude within the facility, without eliminating its global ceiling nor the other rules of the financing contract.
TeraWulf mentions needs related to energy partners and the development of data centers. Such a project requires coordinating connections, equipment, construction, and commercial commitments. Letters of credit can intervene in this organization by providing guarantees to the concerned counterparties. They do not demonstrate that all works are finished or that computing capacities are already leased. The availability of a financing tool and the operational exploitation of a site correspond to two different stages of development.
An additional conditional extension
The agreement also provides for a possibility of an increase of approximately $150 million, in the form of an uncommitted accordion agreement. This qualification is important: lenders must still agree to participate in it. Therefore, one should not automatically add this potential to the amount currently committed to announce a certain line of $550 million. A contractual option organizes a financing possibility; it does not replace the agreement of the parties necessary for its implementation and for the sums that would be effectively mobilized.
The facility is secured by assets and occupies a priority rank in the financing structure described. Lenders' rights, interest, and financial commitments must be read in the company's documents. TeraWulf pursues bitcoin mining and intensive computing activities, but this change does not concern the distribution of rewards in mining pools. The announcement concerns its corporate financing, the future use of which will depend on the projects and conditions provided for in the agreement.
