HashKey and RD Technologies plan RDUSD stablecoin tests on HSK Chain

The partnership announced on November 2 concerns testing and potential institutional uses. Deployment on HSK Chain is described as a next step, without a guarantee that the proposed services will become available.

A testing partnership ahead of planned deployment

HashKey On-Chain and RD Technologies announced cooperation around RDUSD on November 2, 2026, a dollar stablecoin aimed at institutional uses. The partners plan technical and commercial exploration across asset trading, settlement, treasury management, and tokenization. Deployment on HSK Chain is the announced first step. The release describes tests and future work; it does not demonstrate that all the services mentioned are already available or that a firm timetable has been set.

According to HashKey, RDUSD is supported by RD Technologies and issued by Anchorage Digital Bank N.A., a federally regulated US bank. The group describes the token as designed to comply with the US GENIUS Act framework. That remains the companies’ description, rather than an independent legal assessment in this article. The roles matter: supporting a project, providing infrastructure, and issuing a stablecoin involve different responsibilities, particularly for reserves and redemption.

HSK Chain will host the initial technical work

HSK Chain is presented as an institutional Ethereum Layer 2 infrastructure. It is intended to support deployment, circulation, and smart contract use of the stablecoin. The partners then envision connections with existing applications, including lending, trading, and subscriptions for tokenized assets. A compatible network and protocols do not, however, prove that a token immediately has sufficient liquidity or that every application has completed its own checks.

The release describes three groups of uses. HashKey Trading Portal could use RDUSD to settle trades in tokenized real-world assets. The trade finance platform envisions settlement linked to imports and exports, involving documents such as electronic bills of lading. Delivery versus payment would link the asset transfer with the money transfer. That technical function does not replace analysis of the commercial transaction or the obligations of institutions providing its financing.

Commercial uses remain subject to several conditions

HashKey Settlement Platform will also explore payments, collections, and treasury pooling or disbursement. The partners leave room for future automated payments by artificial intelligence agents. These are possible directions, rather than a general offering already available. The text states that implementation will depend on technical conditions, demand, cooperation arrangements, and regulatory requirements. The announcement implies no promise of returns or zero costs.

HashKey also distinguishes technical infrastructure from activities requiring authorization. It says stablecoin issuance, reserves, redemption, and compliance are the responsibility of the relevant issuer and service providers. Readers should assess subsequent progress through deployment evidence and precise service terms. The November 2 announcement confirms a partnership and a direction of work for RDUSD; it establishes neither a public guarantee of the token nor completion of all the institutional uses described.
