The new organisation led by Jordan Jefferson brings together several product teams. Its announcement combines wallets, applications and payments, with some services still being tested.

An organisation to bring projects together

On 21 October 2026, Dogecoin Labs announced the grouping of several teams developing products around DOGE. Led by Jordan Jefferson, founder of MyDoge and DogeOS, the organisation presents this consolidation as a way to coordinate services that were previously separate. It operates in partnership with the Dogecoin Foundation, whose work supporting the project and open-source software remains separate from the new organisation's commercial activities.

The announcement brings together three main components: the MyDoge wallet, the DogeOS application layer and Such App, a payment project intended for merchants. It also announces MyDoge V3 and claims more than 500,000 users for the wallet. This figure comes from the company: it is not an independent measurement of active customers, commercial transactions or daily users.

A wallet as an entry point

The MyDoge website highlights sending, receiving and tipping in DOGE, followed by discovering applications. It also presents features connected with games, rewards and a multichain environment. The wallet thus seeks to become an interface for several services beyond simply checking a balance.

This presentation describes the journey that a user would follow through the services offered by the wallet. It does not demonstrate that every application offered already has a significant audience. A download, an account created and regular use correspond to different measurements. Assessing the project's progress will therefore require tracking the uses actually available and their uptake, rather than automatically combining every announced figure under a single definition of adoption.

DogeOS remains an environment distinct from Dogecoin

DogeOS documentation provides guides for joining its testnet, obtaining test tokens, deploying smart contracts and connecting an application. It cites Hardhat, Foundry and EthersJS, tools familiar to developers in the Ethereum ecosystem. This compatibility is intended to facilitate their work on an application layer dedicated to Dogecoin.

A testnet is used to experiment with operations and software. Its tokens must not be equated with the assets of a commercial service running in production. The presence of contracts on DogeOS also does not mean that the main Dogecoin protocol directly executes the same contracts. The network used, intermediary components and transfer conditions must be identified before comparing two operations that both carry the DOGE name.

The documentation explicitly distinguishes connection, deployment and verification stages. This separation is useful for developers: having a connected wallet does not establish that a contract is correct, that a transfer has succeeded or that every component of an application is available.

Announcements must be measured by execution

Such App is described in the announcement as a payment solution in beta, including invoices and QR codes. These features belong to a commercial project whose practical operation remains to be assessed. The Dogecoin Labs announcement primarily provides a common framework for products and their teams.

The next observable step will be how they work together: accessible applications, payments actually executed and documented technical information. The consolidation alone provides no certain indication of how DOGE's price will evolve. Its immediate significance lies in the organisation of services and clarity about their stage of development.
